2017 OUTDOOR Series: Hike Nawautin Nature Sanctuary – On a Great Lake Shore

Date: Saturday, September 16 from 10 AM to noon; Rain Date: Sunday, September 17

Description: Get to know this small, but very special wetland – a coastal wetland! Located at the mouth of a creek and separated from Lake Ontario by a pebble beach, this coastal wetland is home to a diversity of plants and animals. Learn about its ecology and restoration efforts as we wonder along 1 km of beautiful meandering trails.

Cost: NC

Location: Meet in the parking lot at the end of Keewatin Road, off of Lakeshore Road, south of Grafton. Bring your lunch if you wish to have a picnic following the hike.
